PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
NUVACOR™ is the result of a 20 year, evolutionary process which began with a product called Vitricor®, sold by the Nevamar Division of International Paper.

NUVACOR™ is a product that uses sophisticated proprietary technology developed exclusively by us and for our exclusive use.

The original product, Vitricor®, was developed as a durable substitute for lacquer. In its vertical grade quality it is approx. 60% as hard as glass and in its horizontal or hardcoated grade quality it is approx. 95% as hard as glass.

The original research led to a product that was usable as an environmentally friendly yet significantly more durable substitute for lacquer. Further research led to the use of metalized pigments that allowed for color hues not possible with simple solid color pigment technology. The challenge was to achieve the metalized look without rendering it garish, something, which we humbly feel, we have successfully achieved.

In the early 90's, we began the work of producing finishes that would resemble organic materials such as woods or stones. Unlike most s of wood grains or stones, which look and feel nothing like the real thing, our product was able to achieve the look of a lacquered wood panel or highly polished stone block which when applied as a finished product is so real looking as to deceive the viewer.

Further research and development led us to explore the use of high definition photographic technology, enabling us to reproduce images of such high definition and photorealistic quality as to belie one's imagination.

Thus the evolution of our 4th generation product, which we call NUVACOR™. It is a high molecular weight sheet that has one of the most durable and stain resistant finishes on the market. In its table surface grade (horizontal/hardcoated), it is 95% as hard as glass and yet is totally shatter proof. Because of its dense molecular structure the near perfect Silken Glass finish is virtually hydroscopically inert and therefore highly appropriate for use in areas where hygiene is a factor. In its high-definition photographic incarnation, the luminescence and depth of color and image achieved, almost gives the photographic image a three-dimensional quality. It is a product that combines the reflective gloss and other visual attributes typical of hand lacquered surfaces with high- performance characteristics and straightforward fabrication techniques.

Solid colors, metallic or non-metallic, woodgrains, stones, granites or 'abstracts'. photographic imagery, or corporate logos pose no significant hurdles for NUVACOR™.

Inserts for the Interchangeable Tables. These are available as Metallic and non Metallic NUVACOR™ colors, Woodgrains and Stones and Newgrafics® graphics, both Photographic as well as line-art and logotype

Panels - 1/8" - 3mm - .125 or 1/16" - 1.6mm - .060
These are flat panels 51" x 100" - 35.4 square feet. [We actually only charge for 32 square feet (48" x 96")]

Panels - .040 or .020mil
These are flat panels, which are 48" wide, but a flexible length. Standard is 100".
These panels are primarily suited for Vertical Surfacing applications where cold forming of tight radiuses is a requirement.

(1) Uncoated NUVACOR™ is readily attacked by these solvents. Take care to avoid their use both during their fabrication and or on finished surfaces.
(2) In layman terms these numbers denote superior non staining features. Common food stains such as mustard, ketchup, tea, coffee, red wine will have no effect on NUVACOR™, unlike the effects they have on most marbles, woods and High Pressure Laminates.
